FLUIDITY® PELVIC STABILITY AND CORE STRENGTH
Only 5% of the population stands with a pelvis that aligns properly with the lumbar spine and sacrum (tailbone). Fewer still can actually execute a weight-bearing movement in everyday life while maintaining neutral pelvis. In fact, 95% of the population has an imbalance of their pelvis – any one of these imbalances compromises pelvic stability and core strength and minimizes movement:
| An anterior tilt of the pelvis results in extension (lordosis) of the lumbar spine. |
A posterior tilt of the pelvis results in flexion (flattening) of the lumbar spine. |
Lateral tilt of the pelvis is termed high on one side and low on the other, most commonly found with posterior tilts. |
With Fluidity, we stand up and use the Fluidity Bar to stabilize our body in neutral pelvis and then execute weight-bearing exercises in all planes of movement. Training this way develops pelvic stability and core strength enabling us to maintain proper alignment when we move in everyday life. It also eliminates common dysfunctions such as incontinence and lower back pain and improves our sex life by tightening and toning all of those small (but dynamic!) muscles in our pelvic floor.
