PELVIC STABILITY AND

CORE STRENGTH

Pelvic stability and core strength are the most vital elements of our ability to function properly and move effortlessly. Pelvic stability governs our spine allowing our core muscles to function properly and enabling optimal movement of our legs. When our pelvis is misaligned or imbalanced, it can no longer adequately support our spine; the spine loses its integrity leading to poor posture and lower back pain. Additionally, without the support of our pelvic floor, our organs do not function correctly (in the case of the bladder, this lack of support is a primary cause of urinary incontinence.)

Pelvic stability is challenged by our daily lifestyle – anything from habitual postures such as sitting for extended periods of time and sleeping positions to stress levels, childbearing, and injury. It is possible, however, to restore pelvic stability and core strength with Fluidity’s whole-body, weight-bearing movement. Restoration begins with Fluidity’s neutral pelvis position that aligns the spine appropriately to enable optimal movement between the pelvis and legs and vice versa.
